We cover the tech that actually matters to you.
meikuio.com is an independent tech publication for people who want straight answers — not press releases, not hype, not another listicle of tools nobody actually tested.
We write about AI, software, gadgets, cybersecurity, and the technologies reshaping how people work and live. Our readers are founders, marketers, freelancers, and curious people who want to make smarter decisions about the tools they use every day.

How We Work
Every piece on meikuio.com is built around three things: accuracy, independence, and a point of view.
Our editorial process starts with a question our readers actually have. From there, we dig into primary sources — official product pages, vendor documentation, technical reports, government filings, and academic research. When we can, we run hands-on tests with real inputs and screenshot the results. Comparison articles are built from multi-source research, not from press releases or rewritten AI summaries.
We don’t publish sponsored content disguised as editorial. Every review reflects our honest opinion after testing. When we recommend a paid tool over a free one, we explain why. When a free tool wins, we say so.
How We Use AI
We’re a tech publication that covers AI — so it would be strange if we pretended not to use it. Here’s how we actually work with AI, and where the line is:
- Where AI helps us: assisting with research (gathering sources on a topic before we verify them), generating original illustrations, chart artwork, and featured images for our articles, checking grammar and style, and speeding up repetitive formatting work.
- Where AI does not replace us: writing final articles, choosing what to cover, forming opinions, running product tests, verifying facts, or making editorial decisions. Every article is written, edited, and fact-checked by a human editor before it goes live.
- Facts: every statistic, quote, price, and date is cross-checked against primary sources — never taken from an AI answer alone.
If an article contains a chart or infographic we generated with AI assistance, the underlying data comes from cited sources — the AI is a drawing tool, not the analyst.
Our Team
Ryan Kowalski writes about AI tools and software. He’s spent 8+ years testing SaaS platforms and helping startups figure out what’s actually worth paying for.
Dana Pritchard covers AI marketing tools, tech news, and the social platforms that keep changing the rules. She’s worked with growth-stage companies across the US and Canada.
Marcus Hale covers gadgets, cybersecurity, and future tech. He buys the gear, tests it under real conditions, and tells you exactly what he thinks.
How We Make Money
meikuio.com is supported by display advertising (Google AdSense) and affiliate partnerships. When we recommend a tool and you buy through our link, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Ads are clearly separated from editorial content, and affiliate relationships never influence what we recommend. Full details are in our Affiliate Disclosure and Privacy Policy.
